I was born on September 10, 1991 in Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Before settling in South Amboy my family lived in Iselin, Howell, and Colonia, but those were all before I started school. South Amboy is a small, quiet town, less than one square mile, along the coast of New Jersey.
I attended elementary school at South Amboy Elementary and High School at South Amboy Middle/High School. Throughout school I was with the same people, from age four to eighteen when we graduated. My school was extremely small the high school, grades 7-12, consisted of about 500 students. I graduated high school with a G.P.A of 3.7. All throughout high school I was able to maintain a job at a local Dunkin Donuts. This helped me to learn how to manage both school work and having a job.
After high school I wanted to become a special education teacher for younger children. I plan to graduate from Rider University in May of 2013 with my degree in education, so I can continue on with accomplishing the goals I have set forth for myself.
Many people regret growing up in South Amboy because it is such a small town. They say they feel they do not get the same experiences as people who go to a larger school. But me, I am glad I grew up where I did. I feel as though it helped shape me into the person I am today. If I went to a different school I may not have the same goals I have today.
